Meet Lead Pastor Brent James

Brent James is a follower of Jesus Christ and has been the lead pastor of Peninsula Bible Fellowship since 2011. He married his beautiful wife, Michelle, in 2001 and has a son named Jack and a daughter named Kate. He grew up in the heart of central California with the other fruits and nuts of the Golden State.

Brent graduated from Bethany College of the Assemblies of God (Scotts Valley, CA) with a bachelor’s degree in Church Leadership and from George Fox Evangelical Seminary (Portland, OR) with a Master of Divinity degree.

Brent has had the distinct pleasure of serving some of the greatest churches on the West Coast including Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, Bel Air Presbyterian Church, and Lake Grove Presbyterian Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Brent has been professionally involved in the worship, communications, community and preaching lives of the churches he’s served.

He is passionate about Jesus, his family, PBF, great preaching, great coffee, great movies, great books and great food. He sometimes struggles with correctly ordering his passions. He loves to sit and gawk at the Olympic Range as well as listen to the stories over a good cup of coffee of how God has touched people’s lives. He strives to use his creativity to inspire and excite seekers and followers of Jesus Christ to bring love and justice into an indifferent and unjust world.
